you can guess who they are routing for, yes, british tennis star andy murray who is looking to become the first home country champ in more than seven decades. amanda davies is there live for us this morning. so much pressure on andy ur many ri today, amanda. >> yes, we are about an hour a waway from the players walking out on to the court here, randi, but andy murray says that the pressure is not on him, but he believes it is on roger federer, because he is going for the pete sampras seven-crown. and his face is plastered on the front and the back of the pages here in britain and estimated 20 million people are expected to be watching on television, because for the last 76 years, all of the talk has been about one man and that is fred perry, the last british player to win the men's singles title here, but andy murray has the chance to become the player that future players are measured against. fans are camping out here in the fields of wimbledon since saturday morning to get their hands on one of those tickets the prized tickets to get inside of the all england club to watch the match

fans are kind of disappointed after he beat uk's andy murray by 3-1 sets. murray was hoping to become the first brit to win the wimbledon men's singles title since 1936. it's kind of bittersweet. i feel bad for federer because not enough people were cheering for him. amanda, very emotional. we heard from andy murray who had a very moving speech. i think he won a few new fans if that was possible. even after his very kind words. >> yeah, i think he did. roger federer wasn't going to let a good story stand in the way of his quest for titles, was he? i mean their there has been the most incredible build-up to this match today, because as you said, andy murray, the first british man in to the final of the wimbledon championship for 74 years. many men have tried and failed over the years and people were suggesting that this was andy murray and britain's best hope. but, sadly, it wasn't to be. hundreds of fans had been camping overnight to get tickets inside here at the all england club. an estimated 20 million people were watching around the country. some suggestion that tickets inside on

murray by three sets to one. murray was hoping to become the first brit to win the wimbledon men's title. amanda, it was a pretty close match at first with murray winning the first set. what caused the tables to turn? >> reporter: well, roger federer is a very good player. he wasn't going to let it stand in the way. it was emotional after the match. murray couldn't contain his emotions because of the weight of expectations and the hope of a nation resting on his shoulder. he was the first british man in the final hoping to be the first british man to win in 76 years. he did get off to a fantastic start. he easily won. roger federer hasn't won here six times before for no reason. he has the skills and ability to step up when needed. he took out the errors and started hitting more winners. then there was a rain delay. the roof came on and the problem for andy murray is fedderer's favorite spots is the grass and indoors. and so it is roger federer celebrating his seventh title. he is also celebrating becoming a world number one once again. >> at 30 no less. that was quite the tumble for and
